Content Lead Andy Blankenburg Promoted to Partner


VSA’s Content Practice Lead, Andy Blankenburg, has been promoted to Partner. Previously Associate Partner, Andy has advanced through multiple roles since joining the agency in 1996 as VSA’s first staff writer. Over that time, his editorial leadership and client influence have been instrumental to VSA’s reputation and growth, most visibly in brand narrative, strategic communications and naming for some of the world’s leading enterprises.

Over his career with VSA, Andy’s work has included writing, strategic direction, conceptual development and activations across the full spectrum of corporate, brand and organizational communications. He has contributed to the voice of many leading brands and organizations, including Alibaba, Allstate, BP, Caterpillar, CME Group, The Coca-Cola Company, Harley-Davidson, NVIDIA and P&G. His most recent client relationships have focused on Google, IBM and PepsiCo.

Andy established VSA’s integrated Content Practice in 2016, helping bring together the agency’s longstanding Writing Discipline with its Content Strategy and Management Discipline at a time when content had become a key driver of transactions and reputations across consumer and B2B brand landscapes. VSA’s Content Practice now comprises nearly 20 writers and content practitioners who plan, structure, create and measure content in order to engage audiences, deepen their understanding and shift behavior.

Andy’s promotion coincides with the new hiring of Technology Practice Lead Michael Moroney, preceded by the hiring of a new Executive Creative Director, Avery Gross, and a new CFO, Bob Silverman, in late 2017.
