VSA is excited to announce that Sappi North America, a global producer of high-quality paper and packaging supplies, has been recognized in the 2016 PPI Awards for their 2015 Holiday Kit as well as their campaign for haptics research.
Sappi took home the title for “Bringing Paper to Life: Innovative Printing & Writing Campaign of the Year”, and received a second nomination in the “Bringing Paper to Life” category for their research and campaign for “The Neuroscience of Touch: Haptic Brain, Haptic Brand”.
The Holiday Kit materials were part of a direct marketing campaign for high-value corporate users and prospective clients, and included tags and cards, festive gift wrapping and a reusable box and bag—all of which were printed on Sappi’s fine-coated Opus paper, and scented with peppermint or cinnamon. By using the company’s premium paper, the marketing efforts not only harnessed the science of touch to drive connection between the brand and its recipient, but also illustrate Sappi’s impressive capabilities.
In addition to the Holiday Kit, Sappi’s campaign for “The Neuroscience of Touch: Haptic Brain, Haptic Brand” also received a nomination for the “Bringing Paper to Life” category. The campaign both demonstrated the impact that haptics have on human memory and association, and served as evidence for the impact of Sappi’s products. The project also received the Award of Excellence for Direct Mail at the 2016 BMA B2 Awards.
