In early 2017, modern creative agency VSA expanded by opening its San Francisco office. The agency has caught the attention of West Coast clients such as Google, Alibaba and Nike, and in a new move, has brought on John Sheehan as Partner, Client Engagement. Sheehan will report to Anne-Marie Rosser, Partner and Client Engagement Lead, and focus on developing VSA client relations and growing the agency’s presence in the western region.
With 20-plus years of advertising experience, Sheehan joins VSA with an impressive career working for agencies like Butler, Shine, Stern and Partners, FCB San Francisco, J. Walter Thompson. He’s led brand and marketing strategy for global clients such as Priceline, Google, and Salesforce to help to transform their businesses. Some of his most notable achievements include creating a user-centric platform for Converse, instilling emotional appeal for Yelp, reframing positioning, marketing and product/retail experience for Columbia Sportswear and created solutions across Google’s Search, Enterprise and Hardware business units.
“John brings expertise across the full branding and marketing continuum,” shares Anne-Marie Rosser. “Most importantly, he has a genuine appreciation for the design ethos at the heart of our culture and understands the value this can bring to the West Coast market.”
“VSA’s unmatched brand strategy and passion for creativity and design, systems thinking is something that drew me from the outset,” shared Sheehan. “I’m thrilled to help kickstart the San Francisco office and to be part of such a talented organization.”
