Senior Art Producer

The Senior Art Producer responsible for the sourcing of "art-for-hire" created on behalf of VSA and/or VSA's clients. He/she takes ownership of assigned projects and ensures the proper contracts, licensing, budgets, and schedules are in place. They manage work in progress to ensure on-time delivery of assets that meet or exceed creative expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing appropriate art production requirements for each project
  • Build and maintain a network of Photography and Illustration contacts
  • Participate in or lead meetings to ensure all parties have clear direction
  • Manage work-in-progress and adjust processes if necessary
  • Oversee project workflow and schedules to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Manage multiple projects and work with multiple disciplines at one time – manage expectations and educate colleagues as necessary along the way
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in creative services and integrated production
  • Possession of an undergraduate degree in related field
  • Experience in design, photographic and illustrative genres and styles
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe CS applications
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Ability to understand creative design and grasp creative vision
  • Strong project management skills and resource management skills
  • Excellent design, color and typographic skills
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the company and with external parties in a professional manner maintaining effective communication, both written and spoken
  • Adept at preemptively identifying problems and devising solutions
  • A commitment to high quality work and to positive and productive relationships with all clients, team members, peers, and managers
  • Ability to be versatile and handle multiple projects and re-prioritizations, organize information, prioritize, have attention to detail, accurately follow procedures, maintain self-motivation and to work independently in team environments
  • Some evenings and weekend work will occasionally be necessary
  • Familiarity with XMP standards and asset management processes a plus
  • Experience in producing video/broadcast a plus
