VSA’s commitment to the environment
Like many of our clients, VSA recognizes that an emphasis on environmental sustainability is key to being a responsible member of the global community. VSA is committed to operating in a way that minimizes our impact on the environment. In word and practice, we emphasize the importance of energy conservation, waste management, recycling and responsible sourcing through a variety of initiatives.
Participated in recognized programs that measure and share information on individual companies’ environmental impacts, such as the Carbon Disclosure Project and the EICC Carbon and Water Reporting System (now the EICC Environmental Reporting Initiative).
Established an Environmental Management System (EMS) that follows EPA guidelines.
While VSA’s quantifiable consumption of electricity and greenhouse gas emissions have increased per employee from 2015 to 2016, it has reduced its quantifiable consumption of electricity by over 24% per employee and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by over 35% per employee since establishing our EMS.
