VSA’s Director of Talent Acquisition Tracy Richards will speak at the American Academy of Advertising’s March 27 panel.
With more than 15 years experience in recruiting within the advertising industry, Richards brings a wealth of knowledge to advertising professionals and scholars. In the panel titled, “HIRED – Are you teaching your students what they need to get a job? An open panel with Industry Recruiters,” Richards will shed light on the skills, experience and qualities needed for successful job entry in today’s competitive landscape. “The panel will provide a unique opportunity for conversation with professors and college administration who are setting curriculum,” says Richards, “It’s important for emerging students to find ways to make themselves stick out from the crowd and play up their uniqueness.”
The American Academy of Advertising (AAA) is an organization of advertising scholars and professionals with an interest in advertising and advertising education. The Academy fosters research that is relevant to the field and provides a forum for the exchange of ideas among its academic and professional members. Through the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, the Journal of Interactive Advertising and the annual conference Proceedings, the Academy disseminates research findings and scholarly contributions to advertising education and the profession.
