Whenever possible, we like to sit down with one of our creative minds at VSA to find out what inspires them. In a world where there’s constantly pressure to “produce, produce, produce,” it’s important to stop and reflect on the special people, places and things that actually drive our creativity. Today, Associate Partner of Project Management, Kevin Yarashefski sheds light on the four things that inspire him and help him do what he does.
1. My family
My family inspires me to be the best human being everyday, reminding me to take advantage of every single second the day offers and that anything is possible. By seeing through their eyes, I learn to see the future rather than rely on my past.
Toots is a music icon from Jamaica—an infectious source of never-ending positivity, love and energy. To this day, Toots (who is in his seventies) still performs live. During these performances, he invites his friends to join the stage beside him, treating them all as if they’re family.
No matter what is going on in my life, anytime I hop on a bike and start pedaling, I’m transported to my 6-year-old self; as if it was the first time I’ve ever ridden a bike. At close to 40, that feeling has stayed the same.
4. LeBron James
I don’t care at all about LBJ for his basketball achievements. My respect for him lies within his promise to the fans of Cleveland to win the world championship—and actually delivering. He is a true representation of a person who talks the talk and walks the walk.
