For decades after its 1916 debut, Wilson Golf was indisputably a leading brand in the game. After losing some of its market share and luster, the company turned to VSA to resurrect the time-honored Wilson Staff brand.
To create the identity, VSA studied vintage Wilson Staff product, examining typography and identity usage throughout the years. One element emerged as being clearly identified with Wilson Staff—a two-tone shield. VSA modernized the design of the shield, created a custom logotype and supporting typography, and then delivered comprehensive brand identity guidelines for a global rollout.
