The Senior Marketing Analyst is responsible for generating new insights related to clients’ business behaviors and for recommending a wide variety of marketing strategies to improve results. He / She is expected to work independently by having a firm grasp on data structure and how to field and analyze survey data questionnaires to support marketing initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be familiar with descriptive and predictive analytics widely, and as specific tools to solve marketing problems.

• To conceive, write, field, and analyze quantitative research, i.e. consumer and business-to-business surveys.

• Determine meaningful insights from survey and other marketing research data, and provide recommendation to improve clients' strategy.

• Identify and use appropriate data sources and manipulate data to carry out in-depth quantitative analyses of clients’ data sets

• Employ appropriate methodologies (encompassing type of data, time frame, calculations or statistical techniques, appropriate comparisons) to answer client business questions. • Evaluate the quality and accuracy of existing analyses and provide/receive feedback.

• Communicate clearly with the VP, Strategy - Data Science Discipline Lead, client project leaders, and other analysts to thoroughly understand client's needs, analyze data appropriately and deliver the work products to client's satisfaction.

• Design and create metric reports and management dashboards, including data visualization.

• Present findings verbally with clarity to internal, and potentially client, audiences.

• Manage data consolidation using SAS program library.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in marketing analytics, marketing research, or quantitative advertising.

• Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Statistics, quantitative social science or other empirically-based quantitative related field.

• Knowledge of common terminology and industry best practices.

• Ability to be self-directed once given a project or assignment.

• High proficiency with SAS and Excel, and preferably in addition a statistical programming language such as R, Python, or the equivalent.

• Good communication and collaborative skills across marketing/advertising disciplines, including strategy and creative.

• A passion for learning more and having an entrepreneurial mindset.

• Ability to interact at all levels of the company and with external parties in a professional manner maintaining effective communication, both written and spoken.

• Adept at preemptively identifying problems and devising solutions.

• A commitment to high quality work and to positive and productive relationships with all: clients, team members, peers, managers, etc.
