Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A




The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A provides reporting and analyses critical to successfully managing and growing VSA’s book of business. Residing in the company’s Finance Discipline, a successful Analyst enables informed decision-making at the enterprise, divisional, and practice area levels through keen analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Provide reports, data and insights for monthly reporting package, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, and company metrics.
  • Perform reconciliations and tie-outs and build detailed, bottoms-up schedules.
  • Support and build SG&A budget management capabilities across the organization.
  • Support ongoing variance analysis and re-forecasting efforts throughout the year.
  • Prepare data and schedules for annual operating budget; interface with multiple stakeholders to gather relevant information.
  • Support capital expenditure projects and develop cost containment analyses and recommendations.
  • Monitor, report, and analyze key operational metrics and trends like utilization, capacity, and freelance costs.
  • Support hiring needs and trends analysis.
  • Analyze resource allocation and demand.
  • Provide analytics for CFO- and/or COO-driven projects.
  • Work closely with CFO and/or Senior Client Finance Analysts on ad hoc projects.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.


  • 4-6 years of progressive analyst experience.  
  • BS in Finance or Accounting degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Marketing/Communications Services or Media/Advertising Industry experience desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP experience a plus.
  • Must possess good business acumen (specifically financial statement acumen), understanding terms, concepts, processes, and business drivers and related dependencies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to focus on details as well as the big picture.
  • Must be technologically savvy and show a high level of knowledge of and experience working in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with experience working with enterprise accounting and resource planning systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues by creating mutually agreeable approaches and decisions to implement innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to operate under tight deadlines while maintaining multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including facilitation and presentations; proficiency in communicating to both business and technical resources.
  • Must be comfortable working in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, facilitate, and recap meetings.
  • Ability to be intellectually curious and possess a history of continuous learning.
