The Senior Technology Manager is responsible for the digital design and development process at VSA, guiding a project from initial requirements gathering through launch to ensure quality and excellence. This person is digital generalist, able to drive conversations in all the digital disciplines and bridge the gaps between phases of a project and hold each discipline to standards of documentation and quality. The role is both internal and client facing, including facilitation of meetings and brainstorming sessions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in scoping of digital projects with project managers and digital leads.

• Work with project managers and digital leads in the requirements gathering process.

• Facilitate team meetings, client requirement gathering sessions and stakeholder interviews.

• Track and validate of requirements through execution process.

• Own coordination of QA activities throughout the project lifecycle from user testing scripts to functional QA process.

• Manage QA vendors.

• Prepare and deliver client/user training when appropriate.

• Manage software documentation, such as technical requirements, functional specs, and user capabilities.

• Facilitate hand-off from UX to design and design to development.

• Develop maintenance plans and management of vendors.

• Provide a central point for management of VSA’s internal software products.

• Communicating with client teams in adopting or implementing requirements, planning and execution

• Field, respond to, and define feedback, including issues and bugs.

• Assist directly in troubleshooting efforts and resolving issues when appropriate.

• Provide a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle in both traditional waterfall and agile.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technology Management or Project Management.

• Ability to interact at all levels of the company and with external parties in a professional manner maintaining effective communication, both written and spoken.

• Adept at preemptively identifying problems and devising solutions.

• A commitment to high quality work and to positive and productive relationships with all - clients, team members, peers, managers, etc.

• Skills in complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making.

• Ability to be versatile and handle multiple projects and re-prioritize.

• Ability to organize information, prioritize, have attention to detail, and accurately follow procedures.

• Ability to maintain self-motivation and to work independently in team environments.
